Mendoza: Argentina's Viticulture

Exceptional Experiences

  • Visit the wine district
  • Learn about the Argentine grape: malbec
  • Be surprised by a welcoming network of rural families

Bordering the Andes, the province of Mendoza is a favorite for travelers to Argentina for its gorgeous natural beauty and rich viticulture, which it is renowned for. Mendoza’s fertile green lands, mountain air and diverse climate make it one of the most beautiful and productive wine regions in Latin America. As many visitors have discovered, there is nothing quite like enjoying a fine drop of wine as you look out over Mendoza’s beautiful mountainous landscape and watch the sun set behind the Andes.

Visit a number of renowned wineries in the region, where you’ll learn about the wine-making process and enjoy gourmet meals along with top quality service. Converse with winemakers that have been active here for decades as they share their secrets and give you a taste of the finest wines Argentina has to offer.

Other outings to to a small organic farm and a visit with representatives of the native Haurpe community paints visitors with a good picture of life in the rural parts of the province and the culture and traditions of the people of Mendoza.
