Puerto Madryn – Coast and Sea

Argentina

Exceptional Experiences

  • Whale watching
  • Visit to largest Penguin Colony in Latin America
  • Navigate close to bottlenose dolphins
  • Sea lions, sea elephants, birds and more…

Explore the beaches and dunes of Punto Tombo - which hosts the largest colony of penguins in Latin American - before heading out to sea for a fascinating whale-watching excursion, in which you are near guaranteed to see these majestic creatures from within just a few meters. You’ll get a sense of the amazing size and grace of these whales, something that can only really be understood seeing them up close.

The waters are also teeming with bottle-nosed dolphins that will often approach the boat and porpoise (jump out of the water), making for a spectacular sight. The coast of Peninsula Valdes is the home to colonies of sea lions and elephant seals that reside here in near-overwhelming number.

Argentina is home to all kinds of amazing animals and this region may host the largest population of the country’s thriving marine life. Don’t forget your camera - you’ll certainly need it!
