Argentina’s diverse wildlife is a product of its varied geography, with thousands of different species of animals swanning the country’s mountains, lakes, rainforests and deserts. This thirteen-day adventure takes you to some of the most important and renowned locations around Argentina, where you will feel the rush of close encounters with different regions’ representative species. 

As you tour through the Iberá marshlands, the jungle of Iguazú and the Patagonian coast at Puerto Madryn, you’ll be exposed to a wide range of animal species as they interact with their natural environment. You’ll get a strong sense of the diversity of Argentina's fauna as you experience the very different environments in which these animals thrive. 

You are all but guaranteed to see rare animals up close, some of which will include deer, alligators and caiman, unique birds including toucans and parrots, carpinchos, monkeys, whales and dolphins, elephant seals, penguins, lizards and various other reptiles.

Day by day

Day 1 - Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina! You'll be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel, where you'll settle in before we have a brief chat about the days ahead! Then you'll head on a Responsible City Tour, which will introduce you to the city's history, culture and main sights. You'll see the main neighborhoods including La Boca, San Telmo and Palermo. You'll also take a stroll through Buenos Aires' Ecological Reserve to enjoy the local flora, birds, insects and other animals.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Today, transport will be provided to head out of the city to a typical rural town, where you'll learn about the Gaucho (or cowboy) lifestyle, a very important aspect of Argentina's culture. Spending the day exploring this small town and the surrounding countryside, you'll meet the locals and check out local markets and shops. A typical BBQ lunch will be provided. After the day's activities, you'll be transferred back to the city to your hotel.

Day 3 - Esteros del Iberá

You're heading north towards the second largest collection of wetlands in the world! You'll be transferred to the airport in Buenos Aires before taking you flight to Posadas, which is a short distance from the wetlands. You'll be taken to your hotel and take the rest of the day to relax!

Day 4 - Esteros del Iberá

You'll venture into the wetlands today, where you have the opportunity to get busy with a range of different guided activities including horseback riding through the marshes, trekking tours in the forest or a boat trip. Expect to see your share of wildlife along the way! Afterwards, head back to your hotel.

Day 5 - Esteros del Iberá

Have a good breakfast, as you've got a busy day ahead! You'll be heading back in, as you take a boat excursion deep into the marshlands to learn about the region and track wildlife!

Day 6 - Iguazú

You'll be up early to head out of Ibera towards Iguazú. You'll come to Puerto Bemberg, a lodge hidden in the jungle that provides great scenery all around and a number of activities are available too. It's here that you'll be spending the next few days. There are a range of guided activities available - from jungle treks, bird and local fauna watching, boat tours on the Paraná River, biking and more.

Day 7 - Iguazú

You'll enter the Iguazú National Park for a tour of the Argentinean side of the falls. It’s here you’ll discover the immensity of these waterfalls as you walk across secure catwalks and paths that lie next to, below and over the top of the falls. You’ll even have the opportunity to experience Iguazu Falls from the river in a small boat and even move through one of the waterfalls as the water descends from above. A guide will teach you more about the forest and its unique flora and fauna. Following this, it’s back to the hotel.

Day 8 - Iguazú

Activities at Puerto Bemberg. The guided activities include Jungle Trekkings, bird & local fauna watching, Motorboat tour on the Paraná River (optional with additional cost), biking and visit to the chapel. Free access to the hotel outdoor instalations.

Day 9 - Buenos Aires

Private transfer to Puerto Iguazu. Flight to Buenos Aires and free day there to relax.

Day 10 - Puerto Madryn

Private transfer to airport, flight to Trelew and transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn. The rest of the day is free to explore the town.

Day 11 - Puerto Madryn

In the morning, you'll head off on a group excursion to Peninsula Valdes, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The boat trip will take you close to the whales (July to December) and their calves! You'll also see see sea lion colonies and sea elephants families (all year round).

Day 12 - Puerto Madryn

In the morning, there will be an excursion to Playa Union for an optional navigation for bottlenose dolphins watching. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Punta Tombo to see the largest penguin colony in Latin America (November to April). You'll also stop by Gaiman, a nearby settlement where you'll be able to enjoy typical Welsh tea! Afterwards you head back to your hotel.

Day 13 - Buenos Aires

The last day of the tour has arrived! You'll take your flight from Puerto Madryn to Buenos Aires, Once you've landed, you'll be taken to your hotel and you can take the rest of the day to rest or get to know Buenos Aires a little better.

Day 14 - Buenos Aires

Today you'll be on to your next destination, which may be an international flight home or continuing on your travels. Transportation is provided to take you to the airport. Until next time, adios!

Legal

Accommodation Categories

Basic: Rooms include the minimum needed to have a nice stay - a bed and a private bathroom. They are basic but nice and clean. All the tours included in the experiences are group tours.
Comfort: Accommodation normally takes place in 3* or 3* plus hotels. Rooms have some charm and most of them include TV. Some tours are private or semi private.
Superior: Hotels are local boutique 4* or 5*. They have a local appeal and they are an experience on themselves. Tours and transfers can be for groups, private or semi private according to what mentioned in the included services section.

Methods of Payment

Cash, wire transfer or credit card payments through paypal are accepted. There is a 5,4% surcharge for credit card payments through paypal.

Price Conditions

Cancellation
In the event that the customer needs to cancel a reservation made, the amount paid shall be returned after discounting the cancellation expenses, if any. Any cancellation should be sent by written form to the following e-mail address: info@andatravel.com.ar. Any cancellation receipt and confirmation shall be sent by the same way. The expenses shall depend on the advance time by which the cancellation will be requested:
Within 15 days before the service, a 20% penalty of the total amount of the service.
5 to 15 days before the service, a 40% penalty of the total amount of the service.
Less than 5 days before the service: a 60% penalty of the total amount of the service.
Less than 2 days before the service: a 100% penalty of the total amount of the service.
Hours and trips
1. All passengers are obliged to respect all the established hours. All consequences related to its breach shall be at their own expenses.
2. In the event of regular tours, there shall be a 5-minute tolerance for the pick up, after this time, the pick-up itinerary shall be completed. In this case, the passengers shall have to go by their own means to the starting point of the tour.
3. Should the passenger not show up at the pick-up place and at the time mentioned in this document, this shall be considered as cancelled at the last minute (no show) and the total amount of the service shall be charged.
Changes 1. During our trips, different public and private sites shall be visited, the same are booked according to the scheduling, day and choice of the passengers. Access to them is subject to the decision of the authorities at the moment of the visit.
2. Once the booking has been confirmed, ANDA shall not be liable for any change or cancellation made on the passanger's own decision including flight delays of the air company, or any other transportation means.
3. ANDA reserves the right to make partial or total changes of days and/or services composing the tour due to unforseeable circumstances or in case of force majeure, before or during the implementation thereof.
4. ANDA shall have the right to cancel any tour in the event of any of the circumstances provided by Art. 24 of the Decree nr. 2182/72
5. Should the trip last more than the established terms due to fortuitous causes beyond the control of the Company or by force majeure, the expenses incurred shall be paid by the passenger.
The transport is included only in cases specifically mentioned in the corresponding item. The transport services shall be provided by the contracted transport companies. Vehicle transportation shall only be provided for the requested amount of people and/or the specific group.
Personal belongings
1. Any customer's baggage and other personal belongings are not covered by the contract journey. As for all the personal objects, these should always be kept with themselves, irrespective of the part of the vehicle where they are stored. They are carried on behalf and on the customer's risk, being the Operator not liable for any loss, theft or damage that should be incurred during the travel for any reason, including any handling during hotel/airport transfers or viceversa, if any.
2. This document does not include any traveller's possibility nor right to complain to the transport companies or their insurances companies, being the application and compliance of the trasnport companies' terms as well as the ticket the only binding agreement between the above-mentioned companies and the passenger.
